For Dr. Labosky, nothing is more satisfying than knowing that he helped a patient achieve the smile they want and deserve. A native of Boalsburg, PA, he has been practicing dentistry for over 25 years, spending most of that time serving the State College Community. Before you have a chance to meet Dr. Labosky in person, you can learn a little more about his background below.
Why Did You
Become a Dentist?
Since he was a child, Dr. Labosky loved working with his hands, and one of his favorite hobbies was building models. He really enjoyed the small details that he needed to pay attention to in order to finish one. He also always had an interest in science, so when it came time to choose a career, dentistry sounded like the perfect combination of his passions.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After earning his undergraduate degree at Penn State, Dr. Labosky graduated from the Temple University School of Dentistry in 1997. He worked as an associate dentist for seven years, then opened his private practice in 2004 in State College.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Labosky completes extensive continuing education each year, including courses from the prestigious Dawson Academy. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the OKU Honorary Dental Society.
What Do You Like to do Outside of the Dental Office
Life outside of the dental office is busy for Dr. Labosky and his wife, Tanya (who is also a dentist), thanks to their three children, Andrew, Matthew, and Natalie. When he isn’t spending time with family, he is an avid outdoorsman and loves fishing and hunting.
